Blakehill Farm Nature Reserve Festival of Flight 2017
A great new event for us. The birthplace of the "Husky Squadron" RCAF built in 1944 as part of the D-Day build up. This vast area is now a fabulous nature reserve. As we were leaving the site on the Friday evening after setup we saw a Fox racing across the site as fast as his legs would carry him and 3 or 4 birds of prey, one of which fence post hopped in front of us as we slowly drove along the service road. We were so close! Great audences, standing room only. This is, like us, another Heritage Lottery Fund supported setup. Many thanks to Amy and all at Wilts Wldlife for making us welcome.
